Manage complex and high-risk cases for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, including Child Protection, Looked After Children, and care proceedings, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.

Provide professional guidance, mentoring, and informal supervision to less experienced social workers and students, promoting a culture of reflective and child-centred practice.

Undertake and oversee detailed assessments and outcome-focused care plans that prioritise the voice and needs of the child.

Prepare and quality-assure court reports, care plans, and documentation for child protection conferences and reviews, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.

Work closely with families and multi-agency partners to coordinate effective safeguarding responses and deliver tailored intervention plans.

Contribute to service development through participation in audits, team learning, and quality assurance initiatives, supporting best practice across the Children’s Services team.
