This senior role involves managing complex safeguarding cases, providing leadership and mentorship to junior staff, and ensuring high standards of practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in child protection and strong skills in assessment, planning, and multi-agency working.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a complex caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and care proceedings.

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to junior social workers within the team.

Conduct thorough assessments, develop robust care plans, and oversee safeguarding interventions.

Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and legal teams to promote child safety and wellbeing.

Prepare detailed reports and present cases at child protection conferences and court hearings.

Contribute to service development and quality assurance initiatives within the Child Protection Team.
