Also has Unit Supervisor.- Nurse Aides: PCTS on days. 1 PCT or SWAT RN at night to task.- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days – Sat, Sun, nights – Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. – Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.- Vents: NA- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician.- IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.- RT 24/7: Yes – Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.- Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7.- Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2D- Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor.- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients that require tele. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only.- Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone). Is the “new grad training unit”, all new grads train with a “clinical scholar” for 4 weeks. Each week patient load increases to 1:4 final week.
