Description: Specialty: TelemetryFacility: Dominican HospitalState License: CACerts/Licenses: Years of Experience: 4 year(s)Shift: 12H Nights 7p-7a, EOW first to floatGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekDescription: Unit Notes:**True Tele unit – candidates must have 2 full years of solid tele experience- Unit: Tele 2NE Neuro/Spine- # beds: Up to 25 beds- Certs: BLS- Ratios: 5 to 1- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Yes – Does not take patients- Nurse Aides: PCT 1 – 1.5 depending on census- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Holidays: Work into perm staff holiday rotation- Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: Must read EKG strips and be comfortable working w/tele patients- Vents: No- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes – IV Team: IV & PICC team available during the day- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: Shifts can be either 8s or 12s, please look at the current posting. – Floating: Travelers will have a ‘home base’ unit, however, floating is required between both Tele and MedSurg units- Floor specific orientation: 1 shift of orientation on each unit- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Tele, Neuro, Spine- Additional Notes: Night shift requires 2 years of solid Tele experience.
