Study materials will be provided with first day instructions, so please make sure travelers are up to date on proper sterile techniques.- Unit: D4 Neuro- # beds: 28 bed- Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS- Ratios: 1:3-4- Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.- Techs: PCTs – 1 per every 16 patients.- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.- Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.- Vents: No- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.- IV Team: No- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.- Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.- Additional Notes: No ICP monitoring.
