Common diagnoses/Types of patientsOncology and general med surg combination. Hospice inpatient program also housed here. Full telemetry, reading and interpereting is a mustExperience or ‘Must have’ skillsOncology experience is a must. will need to pass a dysrthymia exam during onboarding. Are RNs required to titrate drips?Heparin, Cardizem, may see other cardiac drips. Common titratable &/or set rate dripsHeparin, Cardizem Charge Nurse/House SupervisorCharge nurse on each shift. Typically do not take patients. Are there nurse aids on this unit/RatiosCNA’s are 8 hour shifts. Unit is set up like a 4 leaf clover, each pod has a CNA. At night 2 CNA’s for 28 beds. RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)CPAP or BiPap. RT will manage. Nurses will do nebs, breathing treatments and suctioning trachs. Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs?
