Description: Specialty: CVPCUFacility: Johns Hopkins HospitalState License: Certs/Licenses: Years of Experience: Shift: Night 12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)Guaranteed Hours: Description: The Johns Hopkins Cardiovascular IMC CVPCU (Zayed 10 W)CVPCU is a fast-pacedsurgicalstep-down unitmade up of a multidisciplinary team who primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries.RN will needexperience with high acuity patients.Experience: RN, BLS, 2 years Cardiac open heart recovery experience, at least 2 previous travel assignments;strong Surgical IMC experience, EPIC (ICU experience required for management of High Acuity IMC patients)Preferred:Critical Care Certification;ACLSOrientations:2ndand 4thMonday of the month; 2/9 and 2/23Looking forRNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, Valve repairs and Valve replacements,very heavy Cardiovascular Post-op step downThese clinicians specialize in caring for patients with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices like LVADs, as well as patients recovering from heart and lung transplants.12 of the 32 beds are available for IMC monitoring and the other 20 are for telemetry or non-monitored levels of care.Nurse-Patient Ratio: Mixed level of care assignments. Ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night.The CVPCU (Zayed 10W) is a 32-bed surgery unit providing care for patients who are post-op cardiac, vascular, and thoracic. They have 12 IMC- Continuous cardiac monitoring; the rest are telemetry level (Intermittent) and floor level (non-monitored).
