Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test. Should they fail, candidates will have one opportunity to re-test, a second failure will result in contract cancellation and all applicable fees will be enforced.Job Summary:Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required. Job Responsibilities:-Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.-Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.-Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.-Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.-Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy.-Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.-Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.-Floats between departments and or local locations within Twenty (20) miles as required.-Provides nursing care for a medically complex patient population awaiting community placement in a long-term stay setting.-Cares for Med/Surg level patients in a facility without a direct escalation path to ICU.-Recognizes, de-escalates, and responds to deteriorating patient conditions.-Maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of One (1) nurse to Seven (7) patients.-Works weekends as needed.-Participates in on-call and call-back coverage as needed.Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-Two (2) years of current experience in an Eighteen (18) plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.-Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.-Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical settings and patient needs.-Successful completion of at least one Thirteen (13) week travel assignment. -Selected candidates MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrythmia) test.
