Type of equipment: Acute Care side: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips. All things stroke. Neuro stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips. Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: This depends on schedule, Weekends shifts are required. Floating policy:. Experience nurses can float after orientation. Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle. Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS for Acute Care BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown. Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have: Acute Care strong nursing skills and time management. Neuro stepdown, I would like stepdown experience. Advanced skills needed: Strong critical thinking skills. Procedures performed on unit: The most common are lumbar puncture and chest tube placement. Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS Dress Code: (Required uniform) 10 Tower you can wear black, any shade blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Friday. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. Awards/Recognition: We offer ICARE recognition, shout out board, and employee of the month. Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. We are a wonderful starting unit for those wanting to go to ICU.
