No, travelers must have completed at least one travel assignment with the agency that is submitting them Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Adolescent- typically ages (1L combined) ages 4-12 Aggressive, Impulsive, Self harm, Sexual acting out, state guardianship (difficult placements), trauma and abuse victims Patient Ratios: Desired- 2 RNs per unit, Minimum- 1 RN per unit 2-3 MHTs Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, CPI obtained on site (physical program- must be able to take a patient safely from standing to seated to supine positions) Skills required: De-escalation and milieu management- wide age range with different functioning levels Comfortable with putting a kid in a physical hold and making the decision to put in seclusion and/or restraint IM meds administration, handling asthma patients (medically cleared) Manage multiple escalated patients at the same time Manage multiple events of s/r at the same time Comfortable managing a unit independently Support within the Department: Leadership is highly supportive of employee safety and willing to condense units or implement operational changes as needed to maintain safety. 2 MHTs here after 11p (goal but not guaranteed) Program Coordinator here until PM Support within the facility Therapist Case Managers Security on campus Dedicated code response resources include transponders, five designated response team members, security support, and 24/7 video monitoring staff who can initiate assistance or call codes from off-unit. Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner IV Pump: N/A Med dispensing: Omnicell Unit specific equipment: restrain bed, restraint chair Floating: If yes, where? Yes, could float to children to adults, anywhere through facility. Any age could be present on unit, depending on how patients are needed to be separated for that shift Candidates should be comfortable floating throughout the unit and open to schedule/shift flexibility, understanding they may not remain on the same unit or shift consistently. Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 3 12h shifts, pod and global orientation Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every third weekend On call?
