Rotating 6a/7a/8a start times. Required to have IR PACU experience with phase 1 recovery and minimum of 1 year ICU experience. 3-4 late stays required per 6 weeks. Must have experience caring for pediatric patients. Shift varies according to the needs of the unit: 3 12 hour shifts per week (times vary according to the needs of the unit with potential start times of 0600, 0700, and 0800. ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS required. *PALS NOT REQUIRED IN HAND AT TIME OF SUBMISSION- BUT THEY MUST BE WILLING TO GET PRIOR TO START* Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted at this facility. Special Procedures/Unit Details : Must be able to monitor phase 1 recovery and ICU patients.Will be expected to pre-op patient and care for patient when they return from IR Compliance requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, EKG Onboarding exam, Advanced Math, Med/Pharmacology exam,General ICU Competency exam, PACU Competency exam, General ICU skills, PACU skills,CORE exams Special Equipment : Required to have PACU and phase one recovery experience. 1 year of ICU experience required. 3-4 late stays required per 6 weeks.Pediatric exp required. (Does not need to come from dedicated pedi PACU unit) Recover in off hours in main PACU (finish recovery there)- RN will follow patient- only caring for IR PACU pts only. #Tier3 Travel Compliance RTO – must be presented at time of submission. Any time off sent after the offer will not be approved. 2 yrs experience required in specialty – unless specified otherwise in the job description or UD. Compact or KY State License (required at time of submission) 75 Mile Local Radius – Locals not accepted effective 7/1/2025 References: 1 reference from a charge nurse or supervisor is required at time of submission. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by Return Staff Policy: Gone for 90 days to return as traveler MOST units require level 1 trauma experience- please refer to the job description to verify License Hits : University of Kentucky WILL NOT accept any licensure hits. If you are submitting a traveler with a license hit, the submission will be rejected. PLEASE READ : For this health system- we MUST know at time of submission if they have previously worked at this facility . This must be noted on the profile in order to check their eligibility for rehire. Rehire eligibility at UK is checked by HR every Friday and should this eligibility check come back as ineligible post-offer, your traveler may be cancelled. Please discuss with your traveler at time of submission and ensure they are aware. PACU Call Policy : Response time: 1 hour Call hours: Weekday call will be 8PM-6AM. Weekends will be divided into 2 shifts- 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM. Weekend begins Saturday 6AM and ends Monday morning at 6AM. Floating requirements: PACU to close at 8PM- any patients left recovering will be transferred to main PACU to complete recovery. The IR PACU call team will follow the patient to main OR PACU. IR PACU team will ONLY be responsible for recovering IR PACU patients in the main PACU. Call frequency: They are anticipating that everyone will only be on call for 2-3 shifts per schedule period (6 weeks) Modules: Modules are billable, average 6.5 hours and not included in NBO hours Modules are completed during orientation and annually, and vary by specialty Submittal Details: #Tier3 Travel ComplianceRTO – must be presented at time of submission.
