Main Phase 2: 6o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 yearso Will you accept a first-time traveler? Noo OCC is the Outpatient Care Center here at the hospital. Everyone takes turn floating into that area. Will see outpatient, inpatient, and post-op admits ? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:o Preop and Post op: Complex ortho, hand surgery, complex ENT, General ENT, general surgery, transplants, complex endo vascular, complex cardiac, robotics, thoracic, neuro-endovascular, functional, cranial and spine, podiatry, complex urology, reconstructive plastics? Patient Ratios:o 1:1 or 1:2, following ASPAN standards ? Required License, National Certification, Certs:o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ? Skills required:o Complex post op recovery experience required. Must have strong ICU level skills, ie. manage vents, multiple drips, spinal drains and lines. Strong assessment skills a must. Self-driven and willing to learn and be flexible.? Support within the Department:o Charge RN will take patients as needed. Will cover front desk and patient flowo PCAs/UCso Educatoro Managero Phlebotomy available if neededo Vascular Access Team available in extreme situationso RRT 24/7o Hospitalists 24/7o Physicians and mid-levels assume care at night for intensivists o Residents/Attendings/Fellows? Technology/Equipment:o EMR: Cernero IV Pump: Plum ICU Medicalo Med dispensing: Omnicello Monitors: Phillips ? Floating: If yes, where?o Yes, will float between Pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II as well as adjacent recovery areas? Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO with Learn moduleso 2-3 full shifts in the department? Scheduling:o Weekend rotation: None, but subject to change based on unit needs o On call? May be required if staff member on holiday to covero Holiday Expectations: Based on unit needs o Shift times: depends on requisition.? Main PACU open 24/7/365? Pre-op and Preinduction closed by 1800? OCC PACU closed by 2100o Approval of RTO: NM approval o Schedule cycle: Schedule made in 6-week increments ? Will work with applicants. Cannot confirm a block schedule; must meet the needs of the department.?
