Travelers are first to float. – Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts PICU, 1 shift peds, 1 shift burn (for peds)- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Respiratory failure, dehydration, seizures, suicide attempts, ODs, poisoning, ventilators,diabetic ketoacidosisCommon titratable and/or set drips: insulin, sedative agents, heparin, rarely: vasopressin, norpinephrine, epinephrine, a lot of electrolyte replacements- Additional Notes: MINIMUM 2 years PICU experience; use medfusion pumps Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
