Attempt to have free charge when possible. House Supervisor is free. Are there nurse aids on this unit/RatiosYes – Daytime they have at least 1, sometimes 2. Nights they have 1. Duties include: feeding, FSBS, but mostly assist RN’s with equipment needs & preparing beds for admissions. Pediatrician in house 24/7?In-house 24/7 with call room on the unit. Resident & APP also present 24/7.RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.)Yes – Vents, Cpap, BiPap – managed per RTIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?Tele is monitored off unit but all patients on monitor with central monitors at ICU & SD desk. Strips are read off unit by tele.Shifts & Scheduling7a-7p; 7p-7a (They do self-scheduling & it is possible to do block scheduling as long as the needs of the unit are met. The Scheduling team balances the schedule. Weekend Requirement2 weekends in a 4 week schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun are all considered weekend shifts for both day or night shifts)Holiday RequirementYes – Travelers would be expected to work holidays if needed & will be worked into the perm staff holiday rotation schedule.
