Yes, with strong OR experiencePatient Types/Common Diagnoses:CVOR: CABG, TAVR, VAT, Open thoracotomy, Valve repairs, Vascular surgeries (AV fistulas), fem pop bypass, AAA repair (open and endoscopic)All CVOR RNs/ORTs are expected to float to General SurgeryGeneral: Neuro (EVD placement, shunts), Ortho (total joints, ORIF), Trauma (GSW, MVA), Emergency General (appys, torsions), GYN, GI, GUPatient Ratios:Required License, National Certification, Certs:BLSSkills required:CST: Surgical techs scrubRN: Scrub or/and CirculateNight Shift: Neuro (Craniotomies), Ortho, heavy trauma (gunshot wounds, stabbings, motor vehicle crashes), and emergency general (appy, exploratory laparotomy, torsions, etc.), must be comfortable with blood administration (Belmont/Intraoperative blood salvage), assisting with arterial lines and wound vacsDay Shift: does not need to have all these experiences, preferred.Top 3 strengths: General Surgery Robotics, General, Ortho not must have all three but these are busy service lines (followed by Trauma and Neuro)Robotic experience required it is a deal breaker if not proficient with DaVinciRobotics: Gyn, General, urology. Robotics will be 12- hour shifts. Currently using XI machine.No Transplants, Burns, Adult OphthalmologyPeds not required, does not need to scrubSupport within the Department:RT 24/7Hospitalist 24/7Intensivist 24/7Technology/Equipment:EMR: EPICIV Pump: AlarisMed dispensing: PyxisFloating: If yes, where?Orientation (facility and unit):1- 2 days of general hospital orientation. One full shift on the unitFollowing General Site Orientation, an assessment will be done to find if a few additional position-specific orientation days are necessaryTraveler Telemetry Competency Required. Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam.Scheduling:Schedule is 10 hour or 12-hour shiftsShift times:0645-1715pm (10 hrs.)0645 am-1915 (12 hrs.)Evening shift 1045-23151845-0715 (12 hrs.)2245-0715 (8 hrs.)Nights are blocked- when possibleNo on call for night shift positionsRTO: Able to approve up to 5 days.
