Flexible schedule offered with either three 12 or four 10 hour shifts acceptable for my needs.Call required, 5 weekday night call shifts (7p-7a-12 hour), and 2 (24 hour) weekend shifts required in a 6 week period, which our call structure follows. Weekend call per rotation, averaging 1:6 weekends. Currently we have 2 openings for an RN.Background:The vascular team currently runs on a call model with 6-7 RNs rotating through on 6-week blocks. The call is too heavy and burdensome for most employees when they must cover additional time which takes away from work life balance and overall work performance which can have negative effects on patient care and safety.Assessment:1-2 RNs are needed for the model to work effectively, run smoothly, and to also cover three vascular rooms that run each day.Recommendation:I would like to bring in at least one travel RN and plan to train and/or hire two RNs to make this team complete with the numbers and cases we currently are covering.
