UnitOR- # Suites: 19- Average # of cases per day: 30-40- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS- Common Cases: General/Vascular/Robotic experience. Hours are flexible, willing to do 10s or 12s, our shifts start between 6-6:30 each day – ****CROSS POSTED AS BOTH 10HR AND 12HR (ONLY 2 TOTAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE)- Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Versatility in knowing multiple service lines. Meditech- highly preferred. At least one previous travel. Must have good general surgery base and be proficient in one of the 3 main specialties- General/Vascular/Robotic – Scrubbing required – RN’s: Scrubbing is a plus (and intriguing to them) but not required. – Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:Charge for days until 3 and evening 3-11. Weekend charge in house Saturday and Sunday. They book cases, get the patient down and start prep while people are on their way in. – EMR: Meditech- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Hours are flexible, willing to do 10s or 12s, our shifts start between 6-6:30 each day,- Call Requirements:call is REQUIRED. One weekday per week, one weekend per 5 weeks.- Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotation with the team- What is call response time?:30 minutes- Floating Requirements:Sometimes between the two main ORs at the hospitals. Would not go to ambulatory surgery. – Scrub Color/Dress Code: Ceil blue, navy blue- Not provided. – Unit/Department specific orientation: One week- meet with educator first and then 2-3 days with a nurse in the department. – Additional Notes: “Looking for someone that is eager to work and have a positive attitude. They are good about giving a 15 minute break in the morning and 30min lunch break. Smoke free campus.
