Professional Knowledge and Skills: Chest tube care and management, Colostomy care and management, Foley catheter insertion/management, Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring, Wound care. Pain Management: IV push narcotic agents, Medication tolerance/dependence, assessment, PCA pump management, Transdermal patches. Surgery: Post surgical care. Skills Preferred: IV Therapy/ Infusions: Accessing Ports. Oncologic Emergencies: Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Extravasation injury, Hemorrhage. Psychosocial Care: Hospice care, Withholding/withdrawing treatment. Drug Screening: If the candidate’s drug screen results come back “diluted” or positive, and cannot be cleared by the MRO, the candidate assignment will be canceled.
