Required Certifications: BLS, NRP Preferred Certifications: TNCC, PALS Years of Experience: 2 years NICU, Vent competent Float Requirements: Nurses will be expected to work in either the NICU, PICU, or Postpartum floor as determined by patient volumes.Unit Information: Number of Beds: 46 Patient Ratios: Are not guaranteed. NICU 1:3, Ratios are determined by acuity Equipment: No specific equipment EMR: EPICHiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: At least 2 full years of NICU experience Preferred Skillset/Experience: Prefer 2 years in a NICU level 3 or higher Type of Patients on Unit: Premature infants, infants of diabetic mothers, infants with respiratory distress, post date infants, (neonatal patients) Personality Fit: flexible and positiveDress Code: Scrub Color: Black, may wear Mercy Kids scrub top with black scrub pants Any unacceptable attire: Anything elseAdditional Information: Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
