YesWill you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, 2 years of MedSurg experiencePatient Types:All adults, unless they have peds experiencePost-surgical patients, strokes, oncology (no chemo experience required), CHF, COPD, respiratory issues, GI issues, ortho (total joints), COVIDDue to CNA shortage, could possibly have total care assignment or possibly act as CNA (rare)Patient Ratios:Days: 1:4-5Nights: 1:5-6Required Licensure Certifications:BLS, ACLS; PALS preferredTele exam prior to startingSkills required: General MedSurg: Chest tubes, trachs, picc/midlines/central lines (RNs will collect from central line if needed), foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies,Tele, peds, and psych experience preferred, but not required (please ask traveler if they have experience and send in email)Support on the Unit:CNA: 1:5-7 on days, 1:8-9 on nightsWound Care team during the daysReceptionist: Yes during the days. Two HUCs float throughout the different MS units on nightsCharge nurse: May or may not have patient assignmentPhlebotomy? YesIV/VAT Team: IV therapy team on from 7a to 7p, can also start peripheral IVsResource Nurse: Free float that goes around to the units, dependent on staffingRT: 24/7Hospitalist: 24/7Telemetry monitoring: Remote tele techs, will call with changes. It is med surg float pool, just an occasional tele float.
