OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned – they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * *Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.**Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract**Driver’s license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.**UnitMed/Surg Ortho# of beds 32Ratios 1:5 Required certifications BLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients Medical/Surgical, with specialty in post op cancer intervention (prostatectomy, mastectomy, etc) Experience or ‘Must have’ skills good communication, accurate documentation, timeliness, patient centered care Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips heparin, lidocaine, TPN gtt Charge Nurse/House Supervisor yes Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios sometimes dependent on sitter needs 1:15 RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Is there tele on this unit?
