EPIC conversion starting 3/21/2025. No RTO 3/21-4/18. We are a 20 bed blended unit. Our average census is approximately 11 patients, although it is typically higher during the winter months. Depending on the severity of the RSV season, we usually have between 8 to 10 pediatric patients and 4-6 adult female patients. During milder RSV seasons, we have more adult female patients. The goal is the RN has no more than 5 patients, although that depends entirely on census and available staff. Our core staffing is 3 RN s for the department. We have a centralized staffing office that looks at census and acuity to determine unit staffing throughout the hospital. The agency RN would be the first to float if our census is down, so the RN would need to be comfortable with adult patients.Our charting system is Allscripts and our medication system is Acu-dose.I would like the start date to be as soon as possible. The RN needs to be PALS certified since will be caring for pediatric patients along with adult Med/surg patients. ACLS is not required.
