Good IV skills, wound care skills, compassion, ability tomanage patients with complex needs and families in crisis. Astute assessmentskills are mandatory to advocate for patients who often can no longer speak forthemselves. The unit also cares for general medicine overflow. Experience withpatient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired.
