General Medical – DM PN, CHF COPD. Cellulitis. CBI, Bipap, Peritoneal dialysis (can train), surgical drains, wound vacs.- Experience: Post Operative Recovery Experience a +2 years of recent experience. First time traveler okay.- Are RNs required to titrate drips:No- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Patients can be on tele. Centrally Monitored by Monitor Tech. RNs don’t read tele. Tele nurse validates. – Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge Nurse has patients, NSO ( Nursing supervisor office, house supervisor) does not have patients and are available 24/7.- Are there nurse aids on this unit: Yes assignments based on acuity. 1:12-14 some are cross trained in phlebotomy. Typical duties of CNA. Will be trained to answer phones/call lights. 12 lead EKG if experienced. Bonus if have tele tech experience. Do no remove IVs or Foleys. – RT Equipment: BiPAP, High Flow, Vapotherm – Respiratory to manage. – Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730). Scheduled on shifts most in need. Manager makes schedule.- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.- Holiday Requirement: Holiday Rotation.- Is there Call or a Standby requirement: Not for agency, yes for core staff.- Floating Requirements:Yes, to ICU or Tele to take MS overflow. Will only take patients within scope.- Scrub Color: Any color of professional scrubs.- Department specific orientation: Yes, 2 12 hour shifts of orientation.
