Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes, charge nurse 24 hours per day. Ideal is charge does not have patient assignment, however, if short staff they will take a patient assignment. We also have a house supervisor 24/7. – Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes, we have PCTs 24 hours per day. Ratio of 1: 6/7 on days and 1:10 on nights.- RT Equipment: No vents.- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips?
