Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Midtown (IN 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/AWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Every third weekend. Every other holiday.Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS and NIHSS.Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment.Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Patient Population: General M/S: gallbladder, colectomy, appey, hip/knee replacements/ORIFs, Covid, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, sepsis, UTI, respiratory.Skillset: PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (heparin, cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote tele, blood product administration, NIHSS/dysphagia screen, Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.Unit Information: 45 beds. Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; CN takes full assignment on nights and may take patients on days.Unit Strengths: Very experienced staff. Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs – No competing health systems or agency logos* 3 call-ins can result in termination **** Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires ***Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required — Subject to changeGSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation.
