If unable to pass – A Portacount test would be required, which CANNOT be completed on clinicians with facial hair & PAPR CANNOT be completed on site solely due to failing because of facial hair – contract would be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed.- # of Beds: 4- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: DKA, sepsis pts, respiratory failure, cardiac(rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Those typical to an ICU- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: No- ER is in charge of ICU- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: No- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vent- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RN required to read and interpret- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7-7 // director makes schedule- Weekend Requirements: Will work where there is a need- Holiday Requirements: Will work where there is a need- Floating Requirements: MS or ER (for 1:1)- Scrub Color: Navy- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3- 12 hour shifts- Additional Notes: Attributes that make a nurse successful in this unit include coachability, motivation, ability to understand and coach unsafe situations, and team workRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
