LOCAL- Will accept at $10 less BR within 50-100 miles. Will not accept anyone within 50 miles. No true localsUnitAAU (Please specify if specialty ICU, i.e., MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.)# of Beds 18Nurse:Patient RatiosVaries- ICU LOC- 2:1 IMC LOC 3 or 4:1 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLSCommon diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac, Stroke, Resp failure, DKA, SepsisExperience or ‘Must have’ skills Telemetry Are RNs required to titrate drips? YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, the charge nurse is ICU trained and is the Rapid response nurse. They are ideally always out of staffingAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? Yes depending on census. Generally 1 PCT per shift, roles include aiding in vitals, I/O’s, patient transfers, meals, call lightsHospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7? We have a hospitalist in house 24/7 although they are not housed in the ICURT in ICU 24/7? There is an RT assigned to the ICU every shiftRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? Vents, Cpap, BiPap, high flow. RN’s provide basic oral care, have knowledge of all devices and are able to troubleshoot. Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? Yes, there is a central monitoring station within the unit. RN’s are required to be able to analyze rhythms. We use Phillips monitorsShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) We do self scheduling and will accommodate block schedulingWeekend Requirements (3-4) 12 hour weekend shifts within a 4 week period (8 weekend shifts available during that time). They can be split up kept together. Weekend shifts consist of Fridays and Saturdays for night shift or Saturday and Sundays for day shift. Holiday Requirements Two summer and two winter holidays required. Summer holidays consist of easter, memorial day, 4th of July and Labor day. Winter holidays consist of Thanksgiving, christmas eve, christmas day and new years Eve/DayIs there a call or standby requirement? None required. Floating Requirements Potential to float within hospital to med/surg or inpatient rehab. Scrub Color/Dress Code NavyHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2 orientation shifts Cancellation Policy:Shift Call off Policy: Client reserves the right to Call-off a Professional up to the equivalent of 36 hours during a 13 week assignment, with no penalty or need to pay for the shift. 14 days notice to cancel assignment Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:3×12 hour days Required Certifications:ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
