Description: Specialty: ICUFacility: Samaritan Medical CenterState License: New YorkCerts/Licenses: Years of Experience: Shift: Rotating 12x3Guaranteed Hours: 36 WeeklyDescription: HWL Requisition:Samaritan Medical Center-AN-0696 ICU RN\r\n100 MILE RADIUS RULE\r\n12hr – weekend, holiday and call required\r\nVARIED SHIFTS, NIGHTS + DAYS \r\n13 weeks\r\nGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing.\r\nCurrent critical care experience preferred.\r\nMust have a current RN license.\r\nTraveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered. \r\nPossesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care and ability to assess patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.\r\nMust recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts or move patients in a safe manner.\r\nMust be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.\r\nStrong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate.\r\nMay be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.\r\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.\r\nCurrent NYS RN license.\r\nBLS required.\r\nACLS required.\r\nPALS preferred.\r\nNIHSS certification within the first 6 months of employment.\r\nPrevious Samaritan employees have to be gone at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered.
