(*Can screen without). – We can screen to manager if hcp has at least 1 year of exp in specialty unless otherwise specified in position notes. – Please do not include photo ID and SSN card in submission pack. ORIENTATIONS: – RN / LPN orientations at Ellis are bi-weekly. (*ER RN every other Tuesday; All other RN/LPN every other Monday.) – Allied orientations are weekly on Mondays. ATTIRE: – Scrub color provided in UD. – Shoe information provided in UD. – No artificial or gel nails; no chipped polish GENERAL INFO: – Covid and flu declinations accepted. – BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) can be obtained prior to start date. – All compliance docs due 7 days prior to start date. – EMR: Cerner – All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies. Requisition Comments and Notes:ICU RN, 12H Nights- 7p-7:30a with 30-minute unpaid break, every other weekend required. No call. Holidays as needed. Will float to Stepdown and/or Med Surg if necessary. REQUIREMENTS: – NYS license at time of submission. (*Can screen to manager without.) – Recent Nursys – 2 years nursing experience minimum, 1 year in specialty required. – BLS, ACLS (AHA or Am. Red Cross) required; can obtain prior to start date if necessary. – Prior travel experience preferred, but not required. Nurse: Patient ratio – 1:1-2 based upon acuity. Pt Pop: 18+ ***IVS to Interview and Offer with 4 days or less RTO and no holiday rto and at least 2 years exp in specialty. *** UNIT SPECIFICS: 36 beds total- 24 ICU &12 IMC. The Beulah T. Hinkle Intensive Care Unit is two-story, 36 bed critical care unit located in the E-1 and E-2 wings of Ellis Hospital. 24 beds are dedicated for critical care patients and 12 beds are designated as step-down or intermediary between critical care and medical/surgical units. The ICU is a state-of-the art facility designed to provide care to adults who are critically ill, including: patients in shock who require hemodynamic monitoring; vascular, thoracic, and cardiac surgery patients; and patients with acute respiratory disease processes who require mechanical ventilation. There is a cardiac care area on the second floor of the ICU, which features cardiac ICU rooms equipped with operating room-quality lighting for use in emergency situations. The centralized location of the new ICU brings critically ill patients closer to key services such as the radiology department, operating rooms, the emergency department, and the Anna Bennett Cardiac Catheterization Suite.Float Required: YesCertifications: ACLS,BLS; Guaranteed Hours:36
