OB RN & M/S Float – Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital – West Union, IARN-Acute OB-ER-Med Surg Pay Range: $37.08 – $55.89 USD Hourly (pay will be based upon years of experience) Primary Location: Gundersen Palmer – West Union, IAShift Requirements: 12 hr nights (1645p-0515a) Weekend/Holiday: every other weekend and holiday rotation Float Requirements: Critical Access Hospital. Must be able to float between MS and OB. On Call/Call Back Requirements: Would only be on call if agreeable to do so due to low census. Call back would only occur in an emergency situation.Required Certifications: Mandatory: BLS, ACLS, NRP, minimum of Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring. Minimum Experience: 2 years in specialty area. Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital is beneficial.Charting Experience Required: Electronic Medical Record EPIC experience beneficialRequired Skillset: Ability to work independently in Labor & Delivery, Post-partum, and Med/Surg. Ability to work in charge nurse capacity as back-up. Previous charge experience is required Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 25 bed Critical Access Hospital. Med/Surg 20 beds, OB 4 LDRP, 1 post-partum/c-section prep.Average Daily Census: Med/Surg 8 – 10 , majority are skilled care level, OB average 85 90 deliveries per year.Nurse to Patient Ratio: OB (Low risk) 1:1 active labor, 1:2 for early labor, post-partum (couplets) up to 1:3 (1:3 is a rare occurrence), Med/Surg up to 1:5 typical is 1:3-4CNAs work both shiftsHard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates. Willing to assist/train less experienced nurses. Assertive and confident in skills. Team player.Scrub colors: OB Scrubs are provided by the hospital. Staff choice for Med/Surg.** Will try to accommodate Blocked Scheduling, but cannot guarantee all weeks will be blocked.GSA is not guaranteed orientation week.
