YesPatient Types:We see all types of pregnant patients in our labor and delivery. We have the only Level 3 NICU in a 350-mile radius, so we accept patients with almost any kind of risk factor or complication. We care for high-risk all the way down to low-intervention laboring patients. Antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infantsPatient ratios:Antepartum: 1:3Inactive Labor: 1:2Active Labor: 1:1Postpartum/Couplet care: 1:3 coupletsRequired License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Drivers License and/or Insurance:Required: BLS, NRPPreferred: ACLS, certification in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartumMust have manager approval to offer if candidate lacks any of the following:EPIC charting experienceSkills required:Level 3 or higher LD experience and competency to manage high acuity labor patients, to include but not limited to – preeclampsia, preterm labor and delivery, management of laboring and antepartum patients less than 35 weeks gestationMust care for coupletsHighly prefer candidate with Level 2 nursery baby experienceIV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulate C-sections, C-section recovery careeducation required: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursingsupport on the unit:Unit SecretaryScrub Tech that supports LD RNsCharge nurseVAT team is available if neededRT, 24/7OB Physician teamAnesthesia/CRNAcharting system: EPICfloating: Will be required to work Postpartum/Couplet care throughout the contractWould love a candidate with Level 2 nursery baby experienceNEOOrientation: 4 days with preceptor 3 in LD and 1 in PPScheduling: Shift Times: 12-hour shifts, 0630/1830, variable shifts, must work Nights/Days throughout contractSome requisitions may be posted for straight Nights, otherwise, comfortability to work variable shifts will be required throughout contract.Weekend rotation: every otherNo callHoliday Expectations: holidays as neededApproval of time off: Manager ApprovalOther notes: Scrub Color: Cobalt Blue provided by hospitalFree Parking: Yes Program name:SimpliFi Travel
