Very rural hospital Certs- BLS, NRP, ACLS (all must be AHA) Ratios- L&D: 1-2 laboring patients depending on gtts/acuity. PP: typically, 5-6 moms FHM System- Centricity QS EMR- Meditech for post-partum Charge Nurse- 1 Charge for all 3 units combined (L&D, PP, Nursery) Units have OB techs- 1 from 7a-3p, and 1 from 3p-11p, then on call 11p-7a Weekend Requirement-Every other weekend No Call Holidays- Rotate in with core staff- just how scheduled falls Scrub Color- Scrubs provided or can wear royal blue. If going into a C-section must change into hospital provided scrubs OB/Neonatologist -Not in house, on-call IV Team- No IV Team RT 24/76a-7p Pharmacy from 6a-9p (the house supervisor mixes any meds that need mixed- pharmacist on call if needed) Shifts- 12hrs- 7a-7p, 7p-7a C-section experience required Floating- Prefer someone with nursery experience, but not reuired as they rarey have a need in this area of the unit. They will be covering either L&D or Post Partum, where ever the need is that day.
