Specialty populations cared for on the unit include patients with a diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant. 29 beds unitGen Care (ratio 1:4)IMC (ratio 1:2) Special Procedures/Unit Details : We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN): Work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients in an academic medical and Level 1 Trauma Center. Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for both general care and IMC level patients in a 26-bed step down unit, where critical thinking and team work is a must. Work in a collaborative environment, where nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team with a strong voice in advocating for quality patient care.PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required.MS/Tele experience preferred. Special Equipment : *** Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital *** Must have completed 2 years of ACUTE CARE exp within the last 3 yearsNeed vent and transplant experience. Unit will not consider anyone who is not strongly proficient in these areas. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Floating : Travelers are the first to float. The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete contract.
