NoPatient Types/Common Diagnoses:All adults, no pedsWill support endoscopies and radiology (MRI and CT)Will be giving moderate sedation, admitting, and recovering. Will be assigned to a specific role for their shiftCases per day:Up to 15 GI procedures per day5-6 CT procedures per dayMRI case are variableRecoveries depend on how many patients scheduledRequired License/Certifications:BLS, ACLS; will take moderate sedation exam once hereSkills required:Must be comfortable with moderate sedation administration (Versed/Fentanyl/Benadryl). Will not administer propofol.Will not circulate cases, unless they are comfortable and want toNeed to be comfortable being independent as they will be the only sedation RN while on callWould highly prefer someone who is comfortable admitting/recovering and starting IVsSupport within the Department:NM or ANM during the dayShift coordinator/Charge RN at each facilitySurg Tech in the GICNA sometimes in admit/recoveryRidgeview has secretariesPhlebotomy, yes at hospitalRT 24/7 (at hospital)Hospitalist 24/7Radiologists, GI docs, etc.Will be 2 RNs in the GI procedures 1 to circulate, 1 to sedateTechnology/Equipment:EMR: EPIC – preferredIV Pump: AlarisMed dispensing: OmnicellEPOC POC testing deviceFloating: If yes, where?Will float to Ridgeview Surgery Center, about 5 minutes from the hospital. This will happen about once per week.
