ACLS (AHA) – Required 4×9 HrGuaranteed Hours: 36.00Description: Job Summary:In this position, the Registered Nurse has primary responsibility and accountability for the nursing care and safety of patients who are undergoing an endoscopic and/or invasive procedure with or without sedation. This nurse demonstrates skills in interpersonal relationships, critical thinking, and efficiency, serves as a resource to students and new caregivers and is involved in the quality improvement process.Job Responsibilities:-Collaborates with the Pre-operative care RN to assess the holistic patient needs and procedure requirements and performs ongoing assessments and documents change from baseline status.-Develops, implements, and communicates a plan of care that prescribes the nursing actions and priorities to achieve the patient plan of care goals.-Responds to comfort needs of the patient and patient/family request for health information as appropriate.-Uses principles of aseptic practice in varying situations and monitors compliance within the surgical team.
