No email for approvalTravelers must live >100 miles away from facilityPermanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a travelerPatient Types:Upper Lower Endoscopy (to include advanced EUS (Endoscopic US), EBUS (Endobronchial US), ERCPEGD and ColonPre and Post Recovery (Phase I and Phase II) with some ICU level care needed.Patient Ratios:ENDO 1:1Pre-Op 1:2PACU Phase I – 1:1 or 1:2, based on acuityPACU Phase II – 1:2-3Required Certifications:RN: BLS, ACLSEndo Tech: BLSRequired Education:RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of NursingEndo Tech: HS/GED (required); completion of Accredited program (preferred)Skills required:RN: Endoscopy (to include advanced EUS (Endoscopic US), EBUS (Endobronchial US), ERCPAnesthesia provides sedationEndo Tech: Comfortability to perform advanced Endoscopy procedures to include EUS (Endoscopic US), EBUS (Endobronchial US), ERCP, stenting and other advanced interventional GI proceduresEndo Techs will process scopes for the department staff are rotated through the week so they aren t always doing the same job.Support on the Unit:EndoscopyRN/Endo Tech x6Anesthesia (provided sedation-100% )Charting System/Equipment: EPICION robot robotic assisted BrochoscopyOmnicellAlarisFloating: If yes, where?As needed (PreOp/PACU/Floor) if floated out of peri-op services, will be as helping handsWill not be floated to Main OR as Primary RNOrientation: (facility and unit)1 weekScheduling:Weekend rotation every 3rd weekendWill they be on call?
