In addition to the 74 treatment spaces, we have a 3-bed trauma bay and secure unit for behavioral health patients. The ETCU is a 22-bed expansion of the Emergency Department. All beds have telemetry capability. Two rooms are Negative Pressure Rooms. The entire unit can be placed under negative pressure if necessary. The purpose of the ETCU is a staging area for patients who have been evaluated in the main ED and are in the process of lengthy testing, awaiting a consultation, and/or are awaiting an inpatient bed (hold).?The ETCU is NOT an Express Admission Unit nor is it intended to be a holding unit. Patients are candidates for placement in the ETCU after their initial nursing interventions and procedures have been started in the main ED, and will continue in the ETCU until disposition is made. Med surg nurses will provide inpatient level care to inpatient holds in ETCU. Med/surg nurses will also be cross trained to fill specific tasks in the Emergency Department as needed.ADDITIONAL INFO:Could care for COVID patients.Tobacco and fragrance free facility – please notify traveler prior to submissionLocal Rate: $5 less than posted BR Modified Time:1/12/2026 12:00:00 AM Account Manager: Ellen Hayes Account Manager Email: Ellen.Hayes@ayahealthcare.com COVID-19 Vaccine: Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed Flu Vaccine: Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only Submittals:Med Job Requirements & Qualifications Previous Charge Experience : – Years of Experience : 2 Patient Ratio Experience : Charting System Experience : Preferred Charting System Name : Epic Community Hospital Experience : – LTAC Experience : – Trauma Level I Experience : Preferred Trauma Level II Experience : Preferred Travel Experience Required : Yes Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS, TNCC*Skills : Abdominal pain, Acute psychosis, Arterial line management, Asthma, Blood Product Administration, Burns, Central line care/management, Chest tube insertion/management, Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, CPAP/BiPAP, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Drug overdose, Emergency Medications, Epiglottitis, General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Gunshot wounds*, Head injury, Hyperglycemia, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Intubation, Isolation Precautions, IV vasopressors, Level I Trauma Center*, Manage / apply splints, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Managing violent behavior, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Near drowning, Neuro-Trauma, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Ortho trauma, Phlebotomy, Poison ingestion, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring*, Psychiatric Hold, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders, Spinal cord injury, Spinal cord injury, Starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI Certified Facility*, Stroke Certified Facility*, Suicidal patient, Traumatic amputation*, Traumatic Brain injury, Triage, Urinary tract infections, Ventilated patients Unit Details Staffing & Scheduling Scheduling Type : – Patient Ratios Days : 4 Patient Ratios Nights : 4 Patient Ratios Weekends : 4 Float Required : – Call Required : – Weekend Coverage : True Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract : – Pre-Approved Time Off : two Orientation Hours : 12 Facility & Patient Care Details Patient Age Groups : Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Daily Census : – Number of Visits Per Day : 260 Number of Rooms : – Number of Beds : 77 Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support : IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses : – Special Procedures/Unit Details : – Special Equipment : – #Tier3 Travel Compliance RTO : Client prefers that RTO be minimized to 7 days maximum, per contract.
