OT after 80 hrs worked in 2nd week. Primary Location: Aspirus Iron River Shift Requirements: 12hr nights Float Requirements (campuses and/or units): Float to ICU and Med Surg. On Call/Call Back Requirements: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements: every other Required Licenses and Certifications: Current MI RN license, ACLS, BLS , PALs and TNCC Minimum Experience (yrs in specialty): 3 years required. 5 years, strongly preferred General Job Duties: . RN to perform ED assessments, general nursing skills. Generally will see geriatric patients with CHF or COPD, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Trauma patients, Stroke patients, Cardio-respiratory emergencies, COVID patients, pediatric patients and other general medical concerns.* ER RN will have Charge RN shifts as well. Unit Information (Bed size, Case types, Patient ratios, etc.): 9 bed ED, 2 negative pressure rooms, 2 trauma bays. Staffing for 2 RNs on day shift through 11 pm, 1 RN on nocs with a charge nurse assist. Requesting that this position may float to ICU or Med/Surg – 2 Bed ICU needing staffing to keep department open and enable staff to orient. There is not always a patients in the unit, and it is only staffed if there are patients. The position would also float to Med Surg, a 25 bed unit with 4-5 COVID rooms. Scrub Colors required: Any colored scrubGSA not applicable during orientation weekContract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hoursDuring flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times.
