Description: Specialty: EDFacility: Samaritan Medical CenterState License: New YorkCerts/Licenses: Years of Experience: Shift: Night 12x3Guaranteed Hours: 36 WeeklyDescription: HWL Requisition:Samaritan Medical Center-AN-0693 ED RN\r\n100-mile radius rule\r\n7p-7a\r\n13 weeks\r\n36-hour guarantee\r\nCurrent NYS RN license required.\r\nBLS and ACLS required.\r\nPALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.\r\nMEDITECH EXP REQUIRED\r\nTRAVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED\r\nGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing.\r\nCritical Care and charge experience preferred.\r\nMust have the ability to identify and intervene in life threatening situations.\r\nPossesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.\r\nMust recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.\r\nMust be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.\r\nMay be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.\r\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.\r\nMust successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment.\r\nMust be IV, medication and phlebotomy certified during orientation.
