Unit Information:o Beds: 31 Emergency beds? Census? Average patients/day? 78 on averageo Minimum Years of Experience required? ? RN: Minimum 2 years of ER experience, any trauma level. o Will you accept a first-time traveler? ? RN: No? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:o All ages infants geriatrics. Peds are typically stabilized and shipped out if needing inpatient intervention. Will see unhoused patients and those in low socioeconomic standing. o Heart failure, GI bleeds/issues, hand injuries, NSTEMI/STEMIs, chest pain, VAD, behavioral health, CIWA, critical patients, sepsis, DKA, respiratory issues/failure, kidney issues/failure, liver issues/failure, post-transplant complications, traumas (MVA, GSW, falls, head injury will stabilize and ship out).? Patient Ratios:o RN: 1:4-5? Required License, National Certification, Certs:o RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS? Skills required:o RN: IV starts, inserting foleys and NG tubes, neuro assessment (NIHSS), triage, codes, initiating/titrating pressors/cardiac drips/sedation/insulin, critical patients, hyper/hypothermia care, assisting with bedside procedurals, moderate sedation for bedside procedures (versed/fentanyl/ketamine)o Soft Skills: Must be team players, adaptable. RN must be comfortable leading by example and being ER Subject Matter Experts.? Support Available: o Charge nurse 24/7 could occasionally take patient assignment o Management available 24/7 if neededo ER docs/midlevel providers 24/7o ER does all of phlebotomy o IV/VAT Team VAST available but rarely used. We have U/S competent staff RNso RT 24/7 at hospitalo Hospitalist 24/7o Intensivist 24/7o CT/X-ray in department? Technology/Equipment:o EMR: Cerner preferred o IV Pump: Plumo Med dispensing: Omnicello Monitors: Phillipso Unit specific equipment: U/S, VAD? Floating: If yes, where?o No? Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days of unit orientation? Scheduling:o Weekend rotation: ? RN: Every 3rd weekendo On call: noneo Holiday Expectations: Assigned holidays based on needs. There is a holiday rotation; will not be required to work all holidays in contracto Approval of RTO: to go through manager o Shift times: ? Days: 0700-1900 ? Mids: 1100-2300? Nights: 1900-0700o Schedule cycle: Manager will make schedule in 6 week increments and will receive about a month before schedule begins?
