Open heart, pacemaker, laser lead extraction, VATS, thoracotomy2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Computerized charting (surginet), TMR laser3.Required skills and minimum years of experience. Cardiac/Thoracic 3 years experience4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) GA or compact license, BLS5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Day shift 0630 1500, call (weekday & weekend) rotated among 3 cardiac/thoracic nurses6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) N/A7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 2 cardiac/thoracic ORs & 22 total ORs8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:19.Dress Code: OR scrubs provided.10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Teaching hospital and level 1 trauma center with 22 total operating rooms, unit orientation with nurse educator and cardiac/thoracic charge nurse.Comments: 2 week notice can be givenCall is required – 7 shifts in a 6 week schedule to include one weekendshift starts at 0600 Name of Position Requirements – Does your candidate require time off? If so, please disclose. – GA or compact license required – Proficient with: open heart, pacemaker, laser lead extraction, VATS, thoracotomy? – 3 years experience as a Cardiac/Thoracic RN? – BLS through AHA required – Is this candidate a 1099? – Recent level 1 or level 2 trauma experience?
