(Y/N) Not at this time, next available Summer 24 projectedTypical hiring profileSkill Set Most recruited for: RNsMust have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.Previous cardiac experience. Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Device Compitencies/ Experience in this order: ECMO, RVAD/LVAD, Impella, IABP, CRRT/DialysisOpen Heart recovery experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): CABG/Valve open hearts, ECMO cannulation, IABP, Impella management, Dialysis. 13-15 open hearts average per week. Normally 2-3 devices on floor at any one time. Best personality Fit:Must be able to be comfortable problem solving on own, unit is very helpful but being able to manage self is a huge benefit as the unit is so busy it is not uncommon to have to wait for resource RN to be available to help you, high number of newer nurses ( 2yrs experience)Ability to receive feedback without getting defensive and provide staff to staff accountability to ensure the highest level of care is maintained.Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.Scrub Color – Navy BlueUnit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc. Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Heart hospital is an extremely desirable place to work within the St David s network.
