Position TemplateFacility Name: Franciscan IndianapolisFloor/Unit: 4th floor, Bone Marrow TransplantReplacement Position (Y/N): NoName of Candidate Replacing: N/ALocation Address: Position Information: Facility / Department/ Cost Center: Franciscan Indianapolis/ Bone Marrow Transplant/CC65700 Position Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): Registered Nurse Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant unit, Oncology/Hematology Number of Contractor s Being Requested: 2 Shift Hours (Specific days of week with shift details): Night Shift 7p-730a, every third weekend, holidays as needed Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekend Shift Hours: 24 every third weekend Call Requirements (Specific days of week with shift details): None Required Certifications (i.e. BLS, ACLS, NRP, ARRT, AWHONN, etc.):BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification, RN license Years of Experience: negotiable Float Requirements: will float to like units which include stepdown and critical care units as well as oncologyUnit Information: Number of Beds: 17 Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 Equipment: Vents, Alaris Pumps, Phillips monitors, Stryker beds, Sara Steady, patient lifts EMR: EPIC, BeaconHiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: Stepdown, Critical Care, blood administration, electrolyte replacement, neuro assessment skills, central line dressing changes, high risk and hazardous drug administration. Preferred Skillset/Experience: Oncology/Hematology experience, chemotherapy administration, BMT experience, critical care experience including vents and drips, Type of Patients on Unit: Hematology and Bone marrow transplant patients requiring blood and electrolyte replacement, neuro assessments, long term IV therapy, chemotherapy, and physical therapy needs. Personality Fit: Asks questions, team player, takes on new challenges and looks for new skills to learn, stays off cell phone and helps others without having to be asked. Provides updates and uses experience on the unit to learn instead of doing things on their own. Know what they don t know. Willing to go above and beyond with patients who are here long term. Should have a heart for patient care and treat patients like guests in their home. Also treat staff with respect and kindness. Dress Code: Scrub Color: Navy Any unacceptable attire: Only approved scrubs and t shirts from the facility. Additional Details: (Please confirm if the candidate will be required to complete any education modules prior to 1st day) There is mandatory education that must be completed by all staff coming to Franciscan, most of which is online.
