The RT should be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team that requires strong communication and critical thinking skills. The RT will be required to work in all units of the Children’s Hospital. Special Procedures/Unit Details : UVA Health Children s provides primary and specialty care in more than 30 specialties throughout the commonwealth and beyond. Located within University Medical Center, UVA Health Children s includes 111 beds, a pediatric emergency department, a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for infants and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for children younger than 18. UVA offers a complex congenital heart program that accepts patients with all types of congenital cardiac defects including transplants and ECMO. Special Equipment : Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A. #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO – Travelers are only guaranteed up to 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract. Please confirm RTO requests are accurate at time of submission. No additional RTO requests will be approved after acceptance. If traveler has any vacation plans during the period between Sign Date and Start Date, this must be communicated to the Client Delivery Manager at the time of submission to ensure a realistic start date may be requested Experience – Please refer to the job description for required experience. Valid State License – Will accept pending licenses, but must have license in-hand the Wednesday before start date. However, RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission Mile Radius Rule – select units have a 50 mile travel restriction, any units not listed do not have a mile radius rule.
