Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.**MUST HAVE: CRT or RRT BLS from American Heart Association Min 1 year of experience in pulmonary function labMust know how to perform pulmonary function tests on patients ages 5 and up. In addition to PFTs, this person would also be responsible for completing outpatient six minute walks, home oxygen evaluations, pentamidine nebs, and sputum inductions.General job duties. Types of procedures required. PFL (Pulmonary Function Lab) Respiratory Therapist primarily performs diagnostic tests. These tests can include spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, respiratory muscle forces, bronchial provocation testing, home oxygen evaluations, six minute walk tests, arterial blood gases and other tests that a doctor orders. In addition to testing patients, the PFL Respiratory Therapist may be asked to administer respiratory therapies and educate patients on the use of their medications and equipment. They must also be able to calibrate, clean and maintain diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Omnicell Medication System, EPIC EMR, MGC Diagnostics Platinum Elite Plethysmography PFT machineRequired skills and minimum years of experience.Must know how to perform pulmonary function tests on patients ages 5 and up. One year of experience in pulmonary function lab required.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. CRT or RRT, BLSShift or schedule requirements.Monday through Friday 0730-1600. No weekends or call required. Floating to over units/departments. No floating Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.Pulmonary Function Lab (PFT) operates two machines.
