BLS, NRP and PALS Job Summary: Safety/Risk Management – Demonstrates safe medication administration. – Follows all policies/procedures for Incident Report/Sentinel Events. – Follows all confidentiality policies/procedures. – Complies with infection control guidelines. – Creates a safe environment through various safety practices, including, but not limited to: – Fall precaution – Restraint management – – Utilization of Patient I.D. identifiers – Read back of telephone and verbal orders; sign off of daily orders – Time out procedures – Communication handoffs – Unit/Department-specific policies – Respects patients’/guests’ personal property. – Adheres to hospital wide and department-specific safety regulations, including, but not limited to: – Fire and tornado – Environmental safety – Complies with patients’ rights/regulations.
