Flu vaccination will be required October through April. Flu exemption applications must be received and approved by Phoenix Children s prior to starting. Anyone not vaccinated for either Flu or COVID-19 will be required to sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and must mask during the full respiratory virus season. This assignment will float between our three campuses Main, 1919 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016 Avondale, 1665 North Avondale Boulevard, Avondale, AZ 85392 Arrowhead, 19007 N. 67th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85308 1800 – 0630 with every other weekend required. Orientation and/or Training will be held at the Main Campus. Job Summary: This position facilitates and administers respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. Ensures care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department and regulatory agencies and maintains all skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to all ages of patients from neonate to adolescent. This position also participates in executing quality improvement initiatives. Education Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program. Experience Requirements: Two (2) years experience as a licensed respiratory therapist. Minimum of two (2) year pediatric critical care experience (Critical Care and Emergency/Trauma strongly preferred). Level III or IV NICU experience strongly preferred. Certification/License/Registry Requirements: Current, Active, Permanent State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license or current temporary license in hand (they don’t want to see in process or willing to obtain upon offer)Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the NBRC. Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association. American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) membership preferred. NRP preferred. RatePlan:Standard 2024
