Key Responsibilities of the Telemetry Nurse:

• Monitor patients’ cardiac activity using telemetry equipment

• Assess and document patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms

• Respond promptly to abnormal cardiac readings or alarms

• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create care plans

• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and care

• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests or procedures

• Assist with emergency interventions such as Code Blue situations

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records

• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols

• Provide post-procedure and post-operative cardiac monitoring

• Support patients recovering from cardiac events, surgeries, or interventions

Requirements of the Travel Nurse:

• Valid VA/Compact Registered Nurse (RN) Licence

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Telemetry setting
