Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will:

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders

• Administer oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy

• Set up and manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans

• Provide emergency respiratory support including during trauma, code, and rapid response situations

• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, medications, and home care equipment

• Accurately document care in electronic health records in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the NBRC

• Active Kansas Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP preferred

• 1+ year of experience in acute care or critical care setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment, assessment, and therapeutic techniques

• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
